It all started with a dream. I saw Jesus standing on water. Stretching His arms out to either side of Him He said to me, “I am The Way. The way is through me”. A shepherd appeared between us, waiving his staff beckoning me to follow him saying, “Come on, come on, now is the time!” I knew I had to literally go through Jesus, as though he were a doorway or a tunnel… a passthrough. I had to step into Jesus. I also knew that I had a responsibility to grab as many people as I could and bring them with me as I stepped into Jesus.

I started a blog in 2021 out of inspiration from a Bible Study that I was doing at the time. After about 9 months my time and energy got consumed and I had to put it on the back burner for a while. This year I felt it was time to bring it out of hibernation. Or perhaps it was just in metamorphosis. Because, like me it has been transformed, reborn, made into something completely new. I found out that to step into Jesus is to step into a completely different life, completely different reality, and a completely different me.
Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” Romans 12:2 says, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
God desires us to go through a transformation. To die as one thing (the image of the world), and to come alive unto something else (the image of Christ). To be completely un-made and then re-made. Much like how a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly. “Once we carried the likeness of the man of dust, but now let us carry the likeness of the man of heaven.” (1 Corinthians 15:49 TPT) It is only by transformation that we can become who and what we were always meant to be.
For me, transformation has come through a combination of 3 practical yet spiritual practices:
- The Word – reading, studying, and feeding from scriputre.
- Truth – hearing and understanding spiritual realities, the interaction between the seen and unseen realms, learning to discern truth from illusion.
- Communion – building a relationship with God through prayer and conversation.
My hope in creating Step Into Jesus is to share what I learn in my own personal transformation being made into the image of Christ and discovering the heart of God, and to inspire you to pursue deeper connection with the One who created you. He loves and cherishes you and longs for deep connection with you. There is no end to the depths of His love, and He invites all of us to step into Jesus and step into the true reality we were always meant to experience.
